The bags are hand-woven by women from the Kankuama indigenous community. The fique fibre comes from a plant called maguey. Manually, the threads are removed, washed and dried to finally be dyed naturally with materials such as the chinguisa plant, leaves of the Brazil tree, cayenne flower, coconut shell and red onion shell.

For all YOLI & OTIS garments, cold gentle machine wash and air dry.

We dye the fabrics of our carriers and accessories using only plants & herbs. Due to this, in some instances, the lack of chemicals can result in small colour runs, or fading in areas where the natural mordant may not have taken to the fabric.

Please take care when washing and use an organic or gentle environmentally friendly detergent.
